BNET Australia, a website focused on supporting Australia’s 4.5 million managers, has launched BTalk Australia, a new daily podcast to provide time-poor executives with management insight from industry specialists in a new, interesting, easy-to-understand and to-the-point format.
With over 40% of Australian internet users now downloading podcasts, an increase of 30% from 2006, BNET Australia’s BTalk Australia will cover management issues from HR, networking, marketing, sales to financial management, technology and operational issues.
BTalk Australia is hosted by Phil Dobbie who has more than 15 years experience in senior management and will host interviews with the leading minds in business and management. Interviews discuss a broad range of management issues including management style, ageism in the workplace, business growth in hard times, environmental sustainability, superannuation, search engine optimisation, market segmentation and protection of IP.
Research demonstrates that podcasting is very successful as a medium especially within business audiences. In one report, nearly 60% of respondents said that information on business or technology topics delivered as white papers or analyst reports would be more interesting as podcasts while 55% percent of respondents said that they would be more likely to consume white papers and analyst reports if they were delivered as podcasts.3
Brian Haverty, Editorial Director for BNET Australia said that he is excited by the launch of BTalk on BNET Australia. “We all want to get the best advice and now you can hear it directly from the experts. Phil talks to the key people in business in his own lively way, driven by his own extensive experience in management. In the first couple of weeks he’s talking to spokespeople from Google, ANZ Bank, CPA Australia and many others.”
BNET Australia provides a one-stop resource for all Australian managers, to assist in navigating and understanding a wealth of management issues from HR, marketing, sales and financial management, to networking skills and staff management. BNET Australia currently attracts over 470,000 unique Australian users monthly.4
