Lee Campbell, Australian Fitness expert and former ‘Celebrity Overhaul’ personal fitness trainer, has developed a stress buster workout you can download free on the Internet.

The Celebrity Overhaul Series saw Lee Campbell train and educate some of Australia’s top celebrities to be become fit and healthy, including Merv Hughes, Rowena Wallace and Kate Fischer. In 2007 Lee and Ita Buttrose teamed up to produce ‘Get in Shape’, a simple and effective exercise program devised by Lee that transformed her life.

Now Lee has teamed up with up with CardioBoxer, a new personal boxing machine, to develop a workout routine specifically aimed at stress management and improved well-being.

“Australians need more effective ways to manage stress and want to get results quickly. Exercise, and in particular boxing, is a proven way to relieve anxiety and improve overall health,” said Lee. “In fact, 15 minutes of boxing on the Cardio Boxer provides the same cardiovascular and endorphin-releasing benefits as running 5 km kilometres, making it a more convenient way for busy people to manage stress.”

Lee Campbell’s new “Stress Buster” workout uses the new CardioBoxer boxing machine to target key areas within the body that hold stress and to give an all-over body workout strengthening your core and toning muscles.

“When we are tense we hold a lot of nervous energy in our neck, shoulders and arms. An upper-body focused work out will help release this tension and minimise stress,” said Lee.

Boxing is the best and quickest full-body and mind workout. Benefits of boxing include:

  • Full cardio-vascular workout
  • Increases upper body strength
  • Partnered with sit ups and lunges provides an all body workout
  • Targets areas that hold stress to release tension through exercise
  • Weight loss
  • Muscle tone
  • Hand eye coordination
  • Strengthens your core

The new CardioBoxer machine makes it easier for Australians to personally manage stress by eliminating the need for a boxing partner as well as minimising the common wrist and joint injuries often experienced with boxing bags and punching balls. The CardioBoxer has special springs which enable the focus pads when hit to spring back to its starting position that help eliminate the jarred effect of punching and cause less strain on the wrist and joints. The machine is secured to a wall and has adjustable positions that allow participants to develop a varied workout.
