the ingredients
- 1.5kg rump steak, fat removed
- 1 red capsicum, core removed
- 1 green capsicum, core removed
- 1 red onion, peeled
- salt and pepper
- wooden or metal skewers
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
the fun (preparation)
- Cut steak into 3cm cubes.
- Cut capsicums into similar size cubes.
- Cut onions in half, through root to tip. Cut each half into 4 wedges, then cut wedges in half crossways.
- Thread a cube of meat onto a skewer followed by two petals of onion, then meat, red capsicum, meat, and finally green capsicum. Continue until skewer is full.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Pour oil over kebabs and roll around to coat.
- Heat Chefs` Grill or BBQ for 3 minutes or until hot.
- Cook kebabs for 2 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
- Serve with salad and jacket potatoes or rice.
CHEF’S TIP
Lamb can replace beef.
