Kebabs for Fathers Day

the ingredients

  • 1.5kg rump steak, fat removed
  • 1 red capsicum, core removed
  • 1 green capsicum, core removed
  • 1 red onion, peeled
  • salt and pepper
  • wooden or metal skewers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

the fun (preparation)

  1. Cut steak into 3cm cubes.
  2. Cut capsicums into similar size cubes.
  3. Cut onions in half, through root to tip. Cut each half into 4 wedges, then cut wedges in half crossways.
  4. Thread a cube of meat onto a skewer followed by two petals of onion, then meat, red capsicum, meat, and finally green capsicum. Continue until skewer is full.
  5. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  6. Pour oil over kebabs and roll around to coat.
  7. Heat Chefs` Grill or BBQ for 3 minutes or until hot.
  8. Cook kebabs for 2 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
  9. Serve with salad and jacket potatoes or rice.

CHEF’S TIP
Lamb can replace beef.
