Flossie will relaunch with a focus on email marketing

After dumping display advertising and most of their publishers back in December 2009, the Flossie Media Group (FMG) announced yesterday it will partner with email software development company Digital Dialogue, to offer a new advertising platform to advertisers in Australia and New Zealand.

CEO of Flossie Media Group Jenene Freer told Australian Women Online, “I can’t go into the details just yet. We won’t be announcing the details on the new product until May. But I can tell you that it will be an aggregated automated email service. It’s quite unique, no-one else is doing anything like this that we know of and it’s pretty exciting.”

Earlier this year FMG began redirecting web traffic from it’s masthead Flossie.com to the company’s website, where a small sales team and a handful of publishers are all that remains of the network.

“The whole point of Flossie.com in the first instance was to be able to support the display advertising and publishing network. But once we stopped doing the display advertising across the publishing network, there was no point in having it. It is coming back, it’s just having a bit of a refocus at the moment as we launch the new product,” said Jenene Freer.

“We are not a content creator, we are an ad network. We are here to aggregate and deliver advertising and that has always been the point of what we’ve done. The Flossie.com site has in the past been more of a marketing tool than anything else. So our focus as a business remains the same, ensuring that we can help our publishers to deliver advertising to their audiences.”

Details on the new advertising platform will be announced on the 1st of May 2010 and will go live together with the new look flossie.com website in June.

In preparation for the June launch, Flossie Media Group are currently looking to build their sales team in Australia. More details on the available roles can be found on the www.flossiemediagroup.com website.
