Celebrate International Women’s Day 2009 in Egypt

Ancient Egypt is a destination many women would love to explore, but not necessarily alone or even with a male companion.

Sue Hile, Director of Australian specialist women’s travel company, Adventurous Women, takes travelling in her stride and therefore wants to encourage other women to step outside their comfort zone and feel the freedom she has, through travel, adventure and life experiences. “Women travelling together can be an incredibly empowering experience”, she said.

“In fact, it is quite fitting that we will be exploring one of the world’s most amazing destinations and home to Cleopatra, one of history’s most powerful women, as we mark International Women’s Day next year.”

Celebrated globally on March 8th every year, International Women’s Day is all about connecting women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. This day celebrates the collective power of women past, present and future.

Sue and her adventurous women will be experiencing all the major sites Egypt has to offer including the Pyramids, great Sphinx, Abu Simbel, Luxor and The Valley of Kings – and best of all, you’re invited to join them on this once in a lifetime experience. The group will also visit a women’s coop in Cairo where they will donate fabric, cotton, buttons and sewing material to assist those less privileged. The women of the coop use these donated items to create fabulous handicrafts, which they sell to help support their families.

Adventurous Women will visit Egypt between 28th Feb – 14th March, 2009. This fully escorted tour is priced from $3792pp twin share (plus taxes) and is inclusive of flights with Singapore Airlines.
