Australian Women Online (AWO) is web publisher of business, career and lifestyle content for women. Launched on 10 October 2007, the website has grown to become one of the most popular and most respected websites for women in Australia. AWO publishes quality content in the categories of: lifestyle; small business; work and career; books and authors; health and wellbeing; beauty and fashion; and other topics of interest to women.
AWO also maintains a Games channel targeted to women who want to take some time out.
Our key demographic is women over 30 in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific Region, but the website also receives a significant number of visitors from North America and the European Union.

But most of her time is spent managing and editing Australian Women Online and the site’s online shopping and games channels. |
Tania McCartney – Senior Editor Tania McCartney is an author, editor and blogger who has been writing for AWO since early 2009. An experienced magazine writer and editor, Tania is an author of children’s books and adult non-fiction. Her latest books include Beijing Tai Tai: Life, laughter and motherhood in China’s capital (Exisle Publishing), Australian Story: An illustrated timeline (National Library of Australia) and Riley and the Grumpy Wombat: A journey around Melbourne (Ford Street Publishing). Tania is the founder of respected children’s literature site Kids Book Review, and is an ACT ambassador for the National Year of Reading 2012.
